The concert band traveled to The Center for Rural Development in Somerset to perform at the KMEA Concert Festival on Wednesday, March 27.  Mr. Cornn led the ensemble in earning straight distinguished ratings from the three stage judges as well as the sight-reading judge.  These scores qualified the concert band for State Concert Festival, which is usually held in early May.  We are very proud of Mr. Cornn and the Corbin High School Concert Band!

Congratulations to Katie Hill and Shane Baker for auditioning and being selected to participate in All-State band!  Katie earned a 7th chair spot in the symphonic band, and Shane earned a 19th chair spot in the concert band.  Katie and Shane join a very elite list of musicians from Corbin High School who have been selected as All-State participants.  Only 2 other students, BJ Judd and Justin McIntosh, have participated in All-State band since 2006.  We are very proud of the hard work and accomplishments of these fine musicians.
